Mr. Plues was born February 9, 1940 in London, England, where he lived until moving to the United States thirty years ago. He was a graduate of the Academy of Food Technology in England, where he also owned a number of butcher shops that specialized in high end quality. He was a 3rd Generation Master Butcher, who was very talented and knowledgeable about the cuts and anatomy of his animals. He also worked at Sowela Technical School for six years teaching Chef Instruction, Meat Fabrication, Basic Baking, and International Cuisine. He advised a number of area restaurants and chefs on menu planning and general restaurant business throughout the years. He also enjoyed helping his wife with Anatomy Education and would often dissect animals to help students to understand their anatomy and teach them where certain cuts of meat come from. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved the United States, especially Louisiana because of the freedom it offered with the outdoor sports. Stanley will be remembered for his unique English accent and his sense of humor. He was the most knowledgeable person in the room and was loved by his students.
