Iowa – Stella Marie Jefferson, 63, passed away in the comfort of her home on March 16, 2016.
Stella was born in Lake Charles on December 11, 1952 to the late Phillip and Della Crandell Miller. She enjoyed spending time with her family and dancing. Stella always made sure no one left without her saying "I Love You."
Survivors include her companion, Wendelle Maye; sons, Elmer Jefferson, Jr, Herbert Jefferson ( Shidale); brothers, Winfield Miller (Doris), Larry Miller; sister, Katherine Gobert (Richard); grandchildren, Keenan, Stacy & Jasmine Jefferson, Lexie & Donavan Victorian, Marissa, Ashton & DJ Gremillion; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Kayden, Kade, Ella & Ziante. She is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Natheniel, Hudson, Earl, Phillip, Tommy Sand, Herbert, Brenda, Shirley Ann, Rojie, Virgie, Ruby.
A memorial service will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Carl Joseph officiating. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Visitation is Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m.
