Susan Rae Thompson

Susan Rae Thompson, 38, of Lake Charles, LA, died on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 in her residence.

Susan was born March 30, 1979 in Lake Charles, LA. She was a graduate of McNeese State University and was to receive her Master’s Degree in Social Work from LSU on December 15, 2017.

Susan is survived by the love of her life, her son, Elijah David Fairman; mother, Virginia Ann Leger; sister, Josie Thompson; grandmother, Louise Glasspool; uncle, Billy Glasspool; niece, Lexie Ancelet; and nephew, Brennan Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Preston Thompson; and grandfather, Bill Glasspool.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the First Pentecostal Church of Lake Charles. Reverend Jeffery Ralston will officiate. Burial will follow in Rigmaiden Cemetery in DeQuincy, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
