Susan Diane Trahan

Susan Diane Trahan, born in Lake Charles on November 30, 1962, daughter of the late Paul Warren Trahan and Thelma Landry Trahan, passed away with her companion, Jacob Touchet on Saturday, May 20, 2023.
Susan, a bus driver for the Lafayette Parish School Board, enjoyed bird watching, and riding motorcycles with her companion, Jacob. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend. She was the perfect Mamaw. Always attending any of their school or sporting events and was very involved in every other aspect of her grandchildren’s lives.
Susan is survived by her daughter, Tanya Potter; sons, Jason Potter and Daniel Potter (Jessie); brother, Eric Trahan; grandchildren, Gabrielle Potter, Caleigh McDonald, Gage McDonald, Jeremiah Potter, Shai, Ryleigh, and Raleigh. She is also survived by many godchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents.
A gathering of friends and family will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa, on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. Cremation will follow the gathering under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
