Susie Elizabeth Phipps

Susie Elizabeth Phipps,  84, passed away on January 22, 2019 in a local care center. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church  for over 50 years and loved saying the rosary. Susie enjoyed sewing, making quilts, French music and dancing. She loved being around her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Susie is survived by her sons, Joseph Alcide Stutes III and Kenny Phipps and wife Lennie all of Sulphur; 7 grandchildren, Joseph Alcide Stutes, IV, Chad Stutes and wife Hope, Jessica Norris and husband Mark, Shawn Paul Stutes, Dylan Phipps and wife Kendra, Andrew Phipps and Jay Phipps; 12 great grandchildren; and sister, Marie Thomas of Sulphur. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Phipps; daughter, Sherry Stutes; 3 brothers; 6 sisters; parents, Dominic and Simea Guillory.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Carlyss at 10 A.M. with Father Luke Krzanowski, M.S. officiating. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 4-9 P.M. with a rosary at 6 P.M. continuing on Saturday, January 26 at 8 A.M. until time of leaving for the church.
