Suzanne McCullough Thompson, 75, of Westlake passed away at 3:24 PM on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 in a Sulphur hospital.
Mrs. Thompson was born on November 14, 1945 in Beaumont, TX where she was raised and was a graduate of French High School. In 1976 she moved to Westlake and became a bank teller for Calcasieu Marine Bank. She later became a mail carrier for the United States Post Office at the Westlake branch.
She enjoyed arts, crafts, and painting and she loved playing bingo. Mrs. Thompson will be remembered for her “one of a kind” personality.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughters, Valerie Sadberry of Westlake and Vicki Holland of Lake Charles; siblings, Geri Chute (George) of Beaumont, TX, Robert “Bob” McCullough of Lumberton, TX, and Dianne Frederick of Lumberton, TX; grandchildren, Curry Benoit, Haley Manuel, Garret Benoit, Cody Herford, Shane Benoit, and Sarah Derise; and great grandchildren, Grayson and Dawson Manuel and Arianna Bellard.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William Tonopha Thompson; a grandson, Ronnie Manuel; parents, Iva and Louis McCullough; and siblings, Mae Weyler.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 in the Johnson Funeral Home chapel in Moss Bluff. Cremation will follow the visitation.
