Sylvester LeBlanc, 91, of Sulphur passed away on June 22, 2018 in a local hospital. He was a native of Jennings and lived in Sulphur since 1992. Sylvester was a member of the American Legion and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII and also served in the National Guard.
Sylvester is survived by his son, Matthew “Matt” LeBlanc and wife Cecilia of Sulphur; step-son, Lee Sonnier of Port Arthur, TX; step-daughter, Jeannie Faulk of Houston, TX; sister, Ruby Trahan of Sulphur; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lionel and Elodia LeBlanc; his first wife, Mary Dorothy LaBorde LeBlanc; and his second wife, Agnes Fred Sonnier LeBlanc.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 at 10 A.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Snider officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 4-8 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with visitation continuing on Monday at 8 A.M. until time of the service.
