Sylvia Johnson Aplin

Sylvia Ann Johnson Aplin, 77, of Lake Charles, LA, was born July 3, 1944 and passed away at 3:43 AM on Friday, March 11, 2022 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Aplin is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Nunez and husband Gerard of Lake Charles; sons, Daniel Aplin, Jr. and wife Amy and Spencer Thomas Aplin and wife Lisa, all of Brazoria, TX; grandchildren, Nick, Samantha, Sean, Alexx, Shannon, and Kaydan; and great-grandchildren, Rachel, Dalton, Sydney, Adeline, Leonidas, Nicki, Nathan, and Levi.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Rudolph Aplin, Sr.; father, Waldo Chandler Johnson; mother, Maudie Lovett; step-father, Spencer R. Lovett; daughter, Marion Loiuse “Doll Baby” Aplin; and brother, Ronald Ray “Billy” Nichols.

Her graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at McCall Cemetery in Grand Chenier, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Reverend Angela Bulhof will officiate.
