Lake Charles – Tad Wilton McElroy, 52 passed away in his residence Monday, June 19, 2017.
Tad was born in Lake Charles on August 31, 1964 to Ernest Wilton and Jared Ann “Jan” (Leger) McElroy. Tad graduated from Sam Houston and worked for the City of Lake Charles. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, working on cars and collecting guns.
He is survived by his mother, Jared “Jan” McElroy of Denham Springs; daughter, Megan McElroy (Max Blair) of Lake Charles; sister, Vanessa McElroy (Timothy Krucker) of Denham Springs; grandchild, Dax Blair and his dog, Tater. He is preceded in death by his father, Ernest W. McElroy; and brother, Bryan McElroy.
A Gathering of friends is Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home ~ Iowa. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow in Old Ritchie Cemetery.
