Tammie Gail Nunez

Tammie Gail Hooper Nunez passed away, Thursday, March 05, 2015 in a local hospital. Mrs. Nunez was born in Creole, LA and raised in Grand Lake, graduating from Grand Lake High School. She worked as an Administrated Assistant for McNeese State University. She was an outdoors lady, enjoyed gardening, and followed all her boys events. The Joy of her life was the love of her children and taking care of her family. She is survived by her husband Curtis Dwayne Nunez of Bell City; four sons, Curtis Dwayne Nunez II and Derek James Nunez both of Lake Charles, Dustin Edward Nunez and wife Kate Brent of Spring, TX, and Devin Ross Nunez of Sweetlake; her mother Freda May Hooper; one brother, Frank William Hooper, Jr; two sisters, Darla Jean Hooper and Debbie Sue Taylor. She is preceded in death by her father, Frank William Hooper. Her funeral will be at 11:00 AM Friday, March 6, 2015 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Steve Shirley will officiate. Burial will be in Granger Cemetery in Grangerville. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until time of service.
