Tammie Marquerite McCallon

Tammie Marquerite McCallon, 62, of Lake Charles passed away at 6:08 PM on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 in a local hospital.

Ms. McCallon was born on September 18, 1962 in Oakdale where she was raised and was a graduate of Oakdale High School.

She had a deep love for animals, always finding joy and comfort in their presence. Fishing brought her peace and reflection, often serving as her quiet escape into nature. More than anything, she cherished her family—especially her children and her precious granddaughter, who brought light into her life every single day.

In her younger years, Ms. McCallon was active in gymnastics, where she expressed her strength and grace with passion and energy.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Scott Anderson (Shonna) and Eric Anderson; beloved granddaughter, Hailee; and a great granddaughter, Rachel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andy and Elmira McCallon.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 25, 2025 in Hill Mathis Cemetery, M.C. Mathis Rd. Pitkin, LA 70656, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Shirley will officiate.
