Tanya Denise Meche, a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, just weeks shy of her 56th birthday. Born on August 24, 1970, in Eunice, Louisiana, Tanya lived a life filled with love, laughter, and compassion, making a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.For over 25 years, Tanya dedicated her life to caring for others as a nursing assistant. Her kindness and selflessness knew no bounds; she approached each day with a heart full of love and an unwavering desire to make a difference in the lives of her patients. Tanya was not just a caregiver; she was a beacon of hope and comfort to those in need.Tanya was a family woman at heart. She cherished every moment spent with her husband, Mark Meche, and her beloved children: Martina LaPoint (Brady), Ariel Meche Pool, and Ashton Meche (Jessica). Her grandchildren, Dallon Pool, Emma Meche, Brooklyn LaPoint, and Aiden LaPoint, were her pride and joy, and she relished in creating memories with them. Whether it was cooking up new recipes in the kitchen, watching HGTV, or simply enjoying a tidy home, Tanya found happiness in the little things that brought her family together.She is survived by her husband, Mark; her children; her grandchildren; her brother, Jason Langley (Gwen); her niece, Madelyn Langley; and her nephew, Blake Langley. Tanya was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Eva ElDeen Langley, and her cherished grandparents, Shelby and MaryAnn Langley, and Alexon and Louise Lavergne.The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Heart of Hospice for their exceptional and compassionate care, as well as DeQuincy Memorial Hospital for their unwavering support during this time.Funeral services will take place on Friday at 10:00 AM on August 21, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur, where family and friends can gather to celebrate Tanya's beautiful life. A public viewing will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur.In honoring Tanya's memory, the family encourages those who knew her to share stories, offer kindness to one another, and live each day with the same love and compassion that she so freely gave. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who loved her.
