Tasha Michelle Gros

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tasha Michelle Gros, a beloved daughter, mother, and friend, who left us on January 22, 2026, at the age of 41. Tasha was born on November 15, 1984, in Sulphur, LA, where she spent her life creating cherished memories and nurturing her loved ones. Tasha was a devoted homemaker known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. She found joy in the simplest of things-sunny days, the sound of waterfalls, and the beauty of blooming flowers. Saturday Night Classic were special for Tasha, as she enjoyed it and the comforting presence of family. Whether it was relaxing by the pool, enjoying the hot tub, or simply sharing laughter and stories, she truly valued every moment spent with her children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Tasha is survived by her loving daughter, Kailey Oquain; her sons, Baylor Richard and Blayne Richard; her mother, Lana Nelson; her grandchildren, Saylor and Brynn Oquain; her sister, Danika Gros; and her dear niece and nephews, Oakley, Hunter, and Casten Gros. She also leaves behind her grandmother, Barbara Nelson, and grandfather, Wallace "Buddy" Gros. Tasha was preceded in death by her father, Robert "Rags" Gros; her grandfather, William "Bo" Nelson; her grandmother, Billie Ruth Gros; and her cherished Godmother, Cheryl Nelson Clement. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Carlyss Fire Department, Acadian Ambulance, and Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Department for their support during this difficult time. In celebration of Tasha's life, a memorial service will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur. The family will welcome friends beginning at 2:00 PM, and a Rosary will be prayed at 3:15 PM. The service will follow at 4:00 PM. We invite family and friends to gather and share their love, stories, and memories, as we honor the wonderful person Tasha was. Rest in peace, Tasha. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered in our hearts.
