Terence "Terry" Young

Iowa- Terence “T.Y.” or “Terry” Young, 68, passed away in his residence on Friday, August 7, 2015 surrounded by his family.
Terry was born in Las Vegas, NV to the late Samuel E. Young, Sr. and Virginia Gertrude Young, born Jones on November 27, 1946. He was a graduate of Novato High School and was a member of the school golf team. He attended the College of Marin in California. In his younger days, he was active in the Presbyterian Church.
Terry’s love for his work in the casino started in Lake Tahoe in 1973, where he stayed until 1995 when he came to Louisiana to assist with the training and opening for Coushatta in Kinder. He continued to work at the casino until he became ill.
Terry was an avid golfer, softball player, bowler and a fan of all sports. He was happiest when he was at work or on the golf course.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Constance Young of Iowa; brother, Sam Young and wife, Brenda of Phoenix, Arizona; 4 nieces and 4 nephews.
Services will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the service under the direction of the funeral home. Visitation is Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service.
