Thelma Jean Jones, born on July 3, 1948, daughter of the late Mandy Jones, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023, at the age of 75.
Thelma was a faithful member of Lambert Chapel, where she served as an usher. She loved reading her bible and watching grit and soap operas, especially Days of our Lives.
She is preceded in death by her mother; brother, Nelson Davis; sister, Ester M. Davis.
Survivors are her two sons, Cortez Pete, and Carwin Lewis; two sisters, Velma Binkley (her twin), and Dorothy Hill; aunt, Lucy Jones; three grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that will mourn her passing.
A Gathering of friends and family will begin on Saturday, November 18, 2023 in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 10:30 a.m. until 11 a.m., with a Memorial service at 11 a.m. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
