Theresa Duplechain

Theresa Duplechain, 64, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, October 29, 2017, after a 12 year courageous battle with Alzheimers.

She was born in Lake Charles, LA to Dillard and Evelyn Ardoin West on September 21, 1953. She obtained both a Bachelor of Science and Masters Degree in Marketing from McNeese State University before becoming an inside sales manager for General Electric and later Consolidated Electric Distributors where she worked for 30 years. She was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith and the Blessed Mother. She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, nature, painting, sewing and reading.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Danny Duplechain; son, Kain Duplechain (Sarah); brother, Huey West (Brenda); grandchildren, Shea and Kiah; nieces, Sonia, Sharla, and Sabrina; brother in law, Waylon McGee; nephews, Chad and Blake; sister in law, Linda Scott; and aunts, uncles, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Gale McGee.

Her funeral service will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 10 AM. Deacon Harold Nixon will officiate. Burial will follow the service in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 31, 2017 from 4 PM until 9 PM at the funeral home and will resume on Wednesday from 8 AM until the start of the service. A rosary will be recited at the funeral home Tuesday at 6 PM.

The family would like to thank Shiela Biagis, the caregiver that took such great care of our beloved Theresa.
