Theresa Benoit Landry, 75, passed away Sunday March 8, at her son's residence in New Orleans, after a year and a half battle with ALS (Amyotrophic lateral Sclerosis aka Lou Gehrig disease).
Theresa was born in Iowa, LA on October 30, 1939. She is survived by her beloved son Leslie Azar Landry and preceded in death by her parents Margret and Azar (Kaiser) Benoit, brothers Johnny Benoit and Kenneth Ray Benoit, her 1st husband Edward (Tiny) Bosemer and her second husband Rudolph Joseph Landry.
She retired from both LSU Law School and Teacher's retirement and enjoyed spending time with her co-worker/friends at LA Express.
After her diagnosis of ALS Theresa moved to New Orleans with her son Leslie, where he cared for her and made lasting memories that they both cherished.
A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. John the Evangelist Church, Lacassine on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 2p.m. with Father Rojo Anthony officiating. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Visitation is Friday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
