Elaine L. Rials

Elaine Laughlin Rials, 96, of Lake Charles, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Elaine was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family. A homemaker at heart, she raised five children with unwavering love and care. For a time, she also worked as a secretary, but her greatest joy was found in her home-gardening, cooking, and spending time with her loved ones.

An incredibly talented seamstress, Elaine lovingly made clothes for all of her granddaughters and crafted blankets for each of her grandsons.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Ron Rials (Karen), Debbie Rials, Chris Rials (Nancy), Ray Lynn Rials (Colleen), and Randal Rials (Kristi); eight grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Ray Rials, and her parents, Allen Laughlin and Marie Fitzgerald Laughlin.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff, with a rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. A private burial will be held at a later date.

Elaine will be remembered for her gentle heart, her creative hands, and the love she poured into her family throughout her long and beautiful life.
