Tilda Doolan

Tilda G. Doolan, 85, passed away in a local hospital on March 17, 2018.

She was born on June 4, 1932 to Ethel White Greene and Tilden Greene in Bogalusa, LA.

She enjoyed traveling, reading, and knitting and will be remembered as an excellent cook.

She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Longville and the originator of the Longville Lake Camp N Jam.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, C J (Pat) Doolan; children, Terry Assunto (John), Susan Vallow, Charles Vallow (Lori), Gerry Vallow (Melanie), Kay Woodcock (Larry), Bobby Vallow (Kris); stepdaughters, Patricia Burns (Bob) and Cathy Huber (Larry); beloved dog, Harley; 24 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Lelia Nancy Vallow.

Her funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Longville, LA. The Rev. Stewart Graves will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley, LA under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 5 PM until 8 PM and will resume on Wednesday from 10 AM until the start of the service.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Christus St. Patrick Hospital for their compassion and care.
