Timothy "Timmy/Chief" Willie Broussard

Timothy “Timmy/Chief” Willie Broussard, born in Kinder on March 24, 1961, beloved son of Willie and Betty Sonnier Broussard, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 13, 2024, at the age of sixty-three.

Timmy/Chief, as he was affectionately known, was a graduate of Iowa High School, and was an instrument technician, as well as a truck driver. He was a talented and gifted musician, who played with numerous bands and artists.

“Timmy/Chief” is survived by his son, D’Artagnan “Tag” Pruitt; siblings, Martin “Marty” Broussard (Vicky), Sherman Broussard (Tana); Christine B. Doucet, Kauthchia Broussard, and Sharon Sandhoff (Richard “Rat”); companion, Felicia Peevey; godchildren, Casie Doucet, and Kete Lanty, and four special little boys that called him, "pawpaw."

A gathering of friends and family will begin Sunday, December 22, 2024 beginning at 10 a.m. with a Celebration of Life service at 1 p.m. in the Knights of Columbus Hall, in Iowa, LA. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant, with words and music by Chris Miller. Cremation is under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa.
