“The Cowboy Rides Away”
Trent “Bubba” Ingalls, 51, of Lake Charles died Saturday, December 1, 2018 in a local healthcare facility.
Mr. Ingalls was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. He was 1985 graduate of LaGrange High School. Following graduation, at the age of 18, he began his twenty-five years of service with CITGO Petroleum and began working his way up to operations. As an Operator, he attended many training courses at Texas A&M and was a part of the First Responder Team. Trent enjoyed fishing and was an avid hunter; hunting here at home and traveling to countless leases with his friends. He was a “cowboy at heart”, (well known for his cowboy hat). He enjoyed Cajun and Country music, cooking and entertaining friends and spending time with family and friends. He was also an avid MSU and LSU football fan and especially loved tailgating. Some of his greatest times were spent at his grandparent’s house in Wadley, AL, where he would stay half of his summer every year, his snow skiing trips and his trip to California with his sister. His greatest joy was the time he shared with his Godchild (his niece) and nephew, helping to take care of them anytime he was needed and spoiling them more and more every day. He attended Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church and was privileged to have been through an ACTS retreat. Mr. Ingalls was a man of faith and family. He loved life and he lived it! He will be most remembered for his kind, loving heart.
He leaves to honor his memory, his parents, Ronnie Dale Ingalls and Brenda Elliott Ingalls of Lake Charles; one sister, Nikki Crooks and her husband Bob of Lake Charles; Godchild and niece, Reese Crooks; nephew, Cooper Crooks and nieces, Ashley, Amy and Ally Crooks. He also leaves his brother at heart, Wade Boudoin; sister at heart, Rachel Bang and Godchildren, Ashton Boudoin and Trenton Dupuis.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Orville and Christine Ingalls and maternal grandparents, Ray and Dot Elliott.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 4, 2018 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Edward Richard will officiate. Interment will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation Monday will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with an ACTS rosary beginning at 6:00 PM. Visitation Tuesday will be from 11:30 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.
Pallbearers for the service will be Wade Boudoin, Bob Crooks, Cooper Crooks, Donald Keller, Mike Dupuis, Jamie Robinson and Mike “Tree” Dyer.
