Treva "Pat" Perry

November 29, 1924 — October 10, 2016

Treva Marie “Pat” Churchman Perry, 91, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016, at her residence.

 

Born in Guymon, Oklahoma to Joseph and Hilda Woodward Churchman, Mrs. Perry grew up in Kansas and graduated from high school in Harrison, Arkansas. She was proud to be known as one of the “Rosie the Riveter” women, serving our country during World War II. She moved to the Lake Charles area in 1944 and began working as a chemist at Cities Service. There she met her future husband. Mrs. Perry was a faithful member of Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters.

 

Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory are her children, Dr. Alan Perry and wife Linda of Lake Charles, Dr. Randall Perry and wife Debbie, also of Lake Charles, Nancy Laspe and husband Forrest of Rockwall, Texas, and Dr. Paul Perry and wife Denise of Sulphur; one brother, Fred Churchman of Baton Rouge; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty years, Lester “Zanny” Alexander Perry.

 

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate. Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation at the funeral home will be on Friday from 5 until 8 p.m., with a rosary to be recited at 6 p.m., and will continue on Saturday from 8 until 9:30 a.m.
