Lacassine – Una Marie Leger, born April 1, 1936 in Youngsville, daughter of the late Ernest and Agnes (LeBlanc) Bourque, passed away in her residence Thursday, October 1, 2020.
Una was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She retired from the Jeff Davis School Board as a cafeteria manager. Una was an active member of the CFMA.
She is preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Ernest Leger; sons, Frank and Ralph Richard.; brothers, Mabrey and Raymond Bourque.
Una is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Bourriague; siblings, Alberta Thibodeaux; Ramona Cormier; Leonard Bourque; companion of 16 years, Ellis Vanicor; grandchildren, Tiffany Guidry; Kristen Duncan; Joseph Richard and Stacey Richard; great-grandchildren, Damien; Alexa; Gabby; Jessica; Harper.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 10 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. Visitation is Sunday in the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary at 6 p.m. and will resume Monday from 8 a.m. until the time of service.
