Sulphur

Ursula Levens, nee Lenitzki, born 3/21/1944 in Wertheim, Germany passed away at 7:54 PM, 10/28/26, at home surrounded by her loved ones. Ursula is survived by Rolfe K. Levens, her husband of 64 years. Ursula had 3 wonderful children, Patricia Chaisson (Danny), Christina Ellender, and Brian Levens (Wendy Stanley); six grandchildren, Dillon Ellender, Madison Duhon, Blayden Levens (Bailyn Martin), Grant Chaisson, Beckam Levens and Kaiden Ellender.

Ursula was a very proud wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her family dearly. She was an elegant lady who was a devout Christian and studied her bible daily. Ursula loved gardening, cooking, baking, and decorating. Her intelligence was remarkable and her pride unmatched.

Although she and R.K. had a very hard financial start in their married life, she was determined to help build a successful, happy life and did. She was only 18 when she and R.K. moved to the U.S. She overcame the language barrier, became a U.S. citizen, joined the work force, worked hard, raised the family resulting in the nice comfortable retirement until cancer finally took her life.

Over the years, Ursula worked in sales, marketing and advertising.

Services for Ursula will be held on Monday, November 2, 2026, at 11 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sulphur with Butch Tinker officiating. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur from 4-7 PM.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, her wish would be to say a prayer for all of those affected by cancer.
