Lake Charles – Vanessa Landry, 50, passed away in a local hospital on Sunday, November 06, 2016. She fought the good fight of faith.
Born in Sulphur on July 11, 1966 to the late Perry Nunez, Sr. and Geneva Soileau Nunez, Vanessa lived life, loved hard and enjoyed her grandchildren. She was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by her children, Summer Ceaser (Kareem) of Aurora, CO, Brittany Garcia, Haley Garcia (Nick Kyle), both of Vinton, LA, Kristin Garcia, Kent Landry and Eric Landry (Valerie), all of Lake Charles; siblings, Jackie Nunez Alleman (James) of Creole, Regina Nunez of Lake Charles, Robert Nunez (Monika) of Creole, John Nunez (Anita) of Lake Charles and Perry “Bubba” Nunez, Jr. (Susan) of Sulphur and 14 grandchildren. Her husband, Norbert Landry and parents preceded her in death.
Visitation is Monday, November 7, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home and will resume Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral services will be in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Father Roland Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow in Little Chenier Cemetery of Creole.
