Vaughn K. Beck, 79, of Carlyss, Louisiana, passed away on January 14, 2016 at his home.

 

He was born May 1, 1936 in Lehi, Utah to Stephen and Maggie Beck. Vaughn was born and raised in Utah, and a lifetime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He faithfully served his church in many capacities throughout his life including a time as bishop of the Lake Charles Ward from 1980 to 1987.

 

Vaughn was preceded in death by his mother, father and several brothers and sisters.

 

He is survived by his wife, Joan Beck; his brothers, Duane Beck of Bountiful, Utah and Dallan Beck of Pleasant Grove, Utah; his daughters, Natalie Frierson of Los Angeles, California, Suzanne Hidalgo of Lake Charles, Jennifer Daigle of Waco, Texas, and Kimberly Dronet of Sulphur; his grandchildren, Rodrick Anderson, Steven Anderson, Megan Anderson, Caroline Dronet, Philip Dronet, Catherine Dronet, Christianne Dronet, Charles Dronet, Ryan Kyle, Jacob Kyle, Katie Kyle, Suzan Frierson, Christopher Frierson and Matthew Frierson; and his great grandchildren, Jaxon Kyle and Marcus "Tug" Mudd, Jr.; and many much loved nephews and nieces.

 

Vaughn was laid to rest at a quiet, intimate Graveside service in Fisher, Louisiana on Friday January 15, 2016.
