“I am not bound to win, but I am bound to be true. I am not bound to succeed, but I am bound to live up to what light I have.”
-Abraham Lincoln
Victor Russell Picheloup, Jr. entered life eternal on Saturday May 20 2017. He was born in Rayne, LA on October 14, 1939. He was loved and cherished by all his family. He exuded such strength and strong will for the multiple health issues he endured. He “kept on keeping on”.

He adored his time with his grandchildren Lauren and Ben Warburton. Victor had a unique sense of humor and always began his day reading “Loretta and Leroy”. He could always think of clever “puns” and play on words. He had a fun loving attitude.
He enjoyed being “Pooh Paw” to his grandchildren and Uncle Pooh to his nieces and nephews. He felt really blessed.
In his travels with his friends, they rented villas and homes in exotic places. They went on many wonderful cruises. He was active in a very informal krewe in Galveston, TX for many years which truly “Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler”.
When traveling around slowed them down, Victor and Sally loved the “Little House on the River” and enjoyed all the river people. Not wanting to slow down he retired to “his roost”, an area in the loft of his home.
He is preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Victor Picheloup Sr. and his brother Paul Picheloup Sr. Those left to cherish his memory are his soulmate, friend and wife, Sally McCann Picheloup, two daughters Aimee Picheloup and Mandy Picheloup Galvin (Tim) and their mother, Susan Clynes, grandchildren Lauren and Benjamin Warburton, step grandchildren Jake and Finley Galvin all from Dallas, TX.
