Virgie "J.J" Texada

Virgie “J.J.” Texada, 93, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 7:25 PM on Thursday, December 3, 2015 in a local care facility.   Mrs. Texada is survived by her daughter, Karen Merrill of Moss Bluff; sons, David I. Texada of Swords, LA and Jeffrey L. Texada of Lake Charles, LA; grandchildren, Matthew S. Merrill, Mark E. Merrill, William J. Texada, and Dawn M. Texada; and great-grandchildren, Thad and Avery Bergeron; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.   She was preceded in death by her husband, William Texada; and a host of brothers and sisters.   Her funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
