Virginia Faye Delahoussaye Hamberlin

Virginia F. Hamberlin, 80, of Lake Charles, LA died Saturday, October 31, 2015 in a local care facility. Virginia Faye was born on February 16, 1935 in Dry Prong, LA to Dee and Clara Shirley. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Virginia Faye enjoyed crabbing, plants, and shopping. She also enjoyed children and running her daycare. She is survived by two children, Amy Renee Tam and Debra Delahoussaye; two sisters, Jackie Mayeaux and Imogene Colter; two brothers, Virgil Ray Shirley and R. D. Shirley; grand children, Ashley Delahoussaye, Sarah Allen Ortega, Ryan Price, Hannah Price, Aaron Miles Delahoussaye, Dylan Smith, Jack Tam, Dash Tam, Paris Tam, Evan Tam, and Paisley Tam; and seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Judy Diane Delahoussaye Allen; and son, Richard Owen Delahoussaye. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will resume from 8:00 AM until time of service on Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Consolata Cemetery. Rev. Randy Edwards will officiate services.
