Virginia Ruth Landry Myers, born in Lake Charles on October 26, 1954, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the age of 67.
A graduate of Lake Charles High, Virginia worked at the Isle of Capri and later Coushatta Casino. She was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed spending time with her grandsons, who affectionally knew her as “Gigi.” An animal lover to her core, Virginia could never turn away a creature in need. She leaves behind 5 fur babies that she showered with love. Her kind and loving nature will be treasured by all who knew her.
Virginia is survived by her daughter, Michelle Woods (Douglas); siblings, Robert Landry, Evadean Ryan, and Debbie LaPrime; grandchildren, Grayson and Connor Woods; best friend and chosen sister, Deborah Thornhill.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis Landry and Evana Landry; and her siblings, Ronnie Landry and Vivian Landry Fontenot.
Memorial services will be held at Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 11 a.m. Burial of her cremains will follow in Lacassine Cemetery. A gathering of friends and family begins at 9 a.m.
