Virginia Lee Guidry Finley

Virginia Lee Guidry Finley, 89, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 7:22 PM on Thursday, January 17, 2019 in her residence.

Mrs. Finley was born December 29, 1929 in Lake Charles, LA, where she was raised. After traveling with her husband’s military career, she returned to Lake Charles in 1975 and joined University Baptist Church. Mrs. Finley enjoyed arts and crafts and loved her family dearly.

Mrs. Finley is survived by her husband of sixty-six years, Jacob Finley, Jr.; children, Vicki Finley Miller and husband Darrell, Polly Finley, Guy Finley, Jake Finley and wife JaneAnn, and Gina Finley; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, Scott Finley; parents, Etus and Evie Guidry; sisters, Nell Guidry O’Conner and Wanda Guidry Reed; brother, Robert Guidry; and a grandchild, Caleb Finley.

Her funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 21, 2019 at University Baptist Church. Brother John Astling will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and continue on Monday at the church from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
