Virginia Poole

Virginia Poole, 88, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2017.  Virginia was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Hackberry, LA.  Her hobbies were reading, playing cards and working in the yard.  She loved country music and spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren. 

Virginia is survived by her children, William “Artie” Poole of Houston, TX, Susan P. Guarnere of Hackberry and John H. Poole, Jr. and wife, Gwen of Hackberry; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and one sister, Dorothy LeDoux of Sulphur.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert Sr. and Josephine Seay Dean: her stepmother, Beulah Dean; her brother, Wilbert M. Dean, Jr.; her sister, Anna Rollins; and her son in law, Darryl Guarnere.

Services for Virginia will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 10 AM at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Hackberry.  Burial will be in New Hackberry Cemetery.  The family will receive friend on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 4-9 PM with a rosary at 6 PM and will resume Friday morning from 8 AM until the time of service. 

The family wishes to thank all of the staff at Harbor Hospice and Pam Watkins for their special care.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hackberry Cemetery Association.
