Wade Corkran, 68, of Sulphur, LA, died at 7:51 PM on Monday, October 5, 2020 in his residence.
Born December 27, 1951 in Lake Charles, LA, Wade was a graduate of Lake Charles High School. He retired from both Olin Chemical and Louisiana Pigment, where he worked as a chemical analyst. Wade was a member of Livingway Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and always stayed busy. He was full of life and will be remembered as a loving and supportive man who served as a father-figure to many. He will always be remembered as a wonderful father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Mr. Corkran is survived by his son, Chris Corkran; daughters, Misty Corkran and Stephanie Corkran Broussard and husband Kevin; sisters, Janet Corkran and Sandra Williams; brother, Burl Corkran and wife Erin; grandchildren, Abrianna Gobert and husband Anthony, Jacob Nunez, Tanner Corkran, and Caleb Ford; and great-grandchildren, Amelia, Blaiklyn, Charleigh, and Dawsyn Gobert.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gloria Heard Corkran and Elmer Corkran.
Service will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 19, 2020, at University Baptist Church. With burial to follow at Prien Memorial Park. Visitation will be 12:00 PM on Monday, October 19, 2020 at the church until time of the service.
The family requests to have potted plants or donations in lieu of flowers.
