Walter Louis Gardner

Walter Louis Gardner, 45 of Sulphur, LA was called Home on February 13, 2021.

 

Walter was one of five children born to Robert Sr. and Cynthia Gardner. He was born on July 8, 1975 in Jackson, Mississippi.

 

He was strong in his devotion to his family, his mother lovingly called him her little “Banty Rooster”. He was one they could always count on for anything, and would do what he had to do to help and provide for them.  He was a happy guy and liked to joke around. He possessed a love for computers as a hobby, so after graduation from Westlake High School he enrolled at Sowela Technical School for Computer Technology. After graduation, with honors, he began working for Calcasieu Parish Public Library.

 

When he was not spending time with his family or working, you could find him enjoying the sounds of the ocean crashing in along his favorite shoreline.

 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Walter and Irene Nereaux, his father Robert E. Gardner Sr. and his brother Robert E. Gardner Jr.

 

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother; Cynthia A Gardner and his siblings Randy Dean Gardner, Shandell Lier Moss, and Lonnie Gardner; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
