Wilbur "Joe" Leleux, Jr.

Wilbur Joseph “Joe” LeLeux, Jr., of Moss Bluff, LA, passed away on Monday, December 24, 2018 in his residence, surrounded by his loved ones.

Mr. LeLeux was born March 5, 1941 in Crowley, LA, raised in Esterwood, LA and graduated from Midland High School.  He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp and moved to Moss Bluff almost fifty years ago.  Joe was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church.  He was a member of the Boilermaker’s Local #79, Pipeline Local #692, the Carpenter’s Local and more recently the IBEW Local #861.  He was a natural born salesman and enjoyed selling anything that he had the chance to.  He also enjoyed dogs, horses, and cows, and loved to watch his family participate in rodeos.  He will be remembered for his heart of gold.

Mr. LeLeux is survived by his wife of forty-seven years, Rebecca “Becky” LeLeux; children, Jodi LeLeux Kyle (Kenny Kyle) of Moss Bluff, Kimberly Dawn Marie LeLeux of King, NC, and Michael Scott LeLeux (Julie) of Ragley, LA; sister, Brenda LeLeux Meche (Ray) of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Karli, Barrett (Brealynn), Diana, Robert, and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Allison and Kannon; God-child, Robert Chiasson, Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ena and Wilbur Joseph LeLeux, Sr.; granddaughter, Danielle LeLeux; and God-child, Brian Joseph Meche.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 28, 2018 at St. Theodore Catholic Church.  Father Albert Borel will officiate.  Burial will follow in Goos Cemetery in Moss Bluff.  Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:30 PM followed by a memorial service at 7:00 PM.  Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM to 1:40 PM.
