Iowa – Wilda Mae Frederick, born on January 11, 1947, daughter of the late Valentine Mott, Sr., and Ruby Cormier Mott, passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021, at the age of 74.
Wilda was a member of the Ruth Chapter #16 Eastern Star. She enjoyed being with family, and friends. She was always up for a game of Yahtzee.
She is preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Claude Frederick, Jr.; siblings; Bernadine Adams; Valentine Mott, Jr.; Hillary Mott; Melva Lavergne; Jean Mott; Curly Mott; Curtis Mott; Clifford Mott; Viola Stutes; Lee Mott; Hazel Cormier; Wilton Mott.
Wilda is survived by her sons, Anthony “Tony” Frederick (Angela); James “Harlin” Frederick (Dawn); siblings, Stanford Mott (Reba); Raymond Mott (Rayella); Dallas Mott (Theresa); Randall Mott; Wilma Cormier; Marjorie Alford (Robert); 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Monday, July 19, 2021, at 10 a.m. Rev. Gene Cormier, Jr., officiant. An Eastern Star service will immediately follow. Burial will be in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin Sunday in the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and resume Monday from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m.
