Wilda Mary Leger Broussard

Wilda Mary Leger Broussard, 94, born on October 26, 1926, to Louis and Lorena (Sonnier) Leger, went to meet our Loving Lord, on April 29, 2021.
Funeral services will be held in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Visitation will begin Friday, May 7, 2021 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home and resume Saturday, May 8, 2021 from 8 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Wilda was a life-long resident of Iowa and a member of the St. Raphael Catholic Church where she served with the Catholic daughters.
Left to cherish the wonderful memories of Wilda are her son, Jerry Broussard (Phyllis) of Lake Charles; daughter, Cindy Gordon (Rickey) of Iowa; grandchildren, Shawn Broussard of Lindsey, OK, Sarah LeBleu (Eric) of Iowa, Joshua Broussard (Tina) of Austin, Texas, step-grandchildren, Shawnda Calahann (Dusty) of Elk City, OK, great-grandchildren, Hayden LeBleu, Cooper Broussard, Camille Broussard, Caroline Broussard; step great-grandchildren. Xander and Riley Moore, Karly, Ryder, and Kassidy Callahan; sisters; Lorena D’Antoni of Arizona and Lorraine McCrillis of Denver, CO.
Wilda is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rolland “Black Top”; son, Leland Broussard; daughter-in-law, Linda Broussard; parents; siblings, Elmer Leger, Eva Domingue, Lydia Prudhomme, Lelia Mae Prudhomme, Arthur Leger, and Iris Sonnier.
Special thanks to her caregiver, Noon Bruney for the wonderful care given to Wilda.
