Wilfred James Mallett

Wilfred James Mallett, born in Lacassine, on December 28, 1932, the son of the late Emedies and Louise (Comeaux) Mallett, passed away in a local hospital on June 21, 2022, at the age of 89.
He loved all animals, gardening, farming, and politics. Wilfred attended St. Raphael and St. John the Evangelist.
Wilfred is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Bobby Mallett, and Eldrige Mallett.
Wilfred is survived by his sons, Lee Mallett, Michael Mallett; daughters, Cathryn Fuselier, Janet Fuselier (James), Alice Hinton; a sister, Carolyn LeBlanc; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services are Friday, June 24, 2022, at 9 a.m. in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home, Rev. Anthony Fontenot, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Lorrain DeRouen Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation is Thursday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. and will resume on Friday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. till time of service.
