Willa Dean Mayes Ardoin

Willa Dean Ardoin, 86, was born November 26, 1937, in Clarks, Louisiana to George W. (Pete) Mayes and Elsie Jane (Pouncey) Mayes, departed this life on November 29, 2023.
As a long-time resident of Bell City, Louisiana she retired as a dedicated, beloved school teacher from the Bell City School.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Clarence and Robert: and one grandson, Spencer.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband of sixty-three years, Ronald R. Ardoin, three sons; Rod (Nanette) Ardoin, Mitchell (Cheryl) Ardoin and Byron (Irena) Ardoin, one sister Jean Richards, and nine grandchildren; Hannah Avery, Mary Ardoin, Melinda San Juan, Duwayne Abston, Daniel Abston, Austyn Ardoin, Chelsea Ardoin, Brennan Ardoin and Simon Vasilevicius. Ten great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be on Sunday December 3, 2023, from 11:00AM until 2:00PM at Johnson Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be at 2:00pm on Sunday December 3, 2023, in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. A private family internment will follow at the DeRouen-Lorraine Cemetery in Hayes.
