Willa Mae Lacombe

Willa Mae LaCombe, 84, passed away at 3:40 PM on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 in a Texas City, TX hospital.

Ms. LaCombe was born on January 23, 1933 in Lake Arthur, LA and lived most of her life in Pecan Island, LA. She currently lived in Texas City, TX with her daughter. She was a waitress for several years and also worked in housekeeping at a nursing home in Kaplan, LA. Ms. LaCombe was of the Catholic faith.

In her spare time she enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, and reading. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory are three sons, Stephen Klein (Blair) of Morris, LA, John Klein (Rhonda) of Iota, LA and Scott Klein (Jeri) of League City, TX; two daughters, Jackie Coston and Rhonda Benson both of Texas City, TX; a brother, Michael LaCombe of Jennings, LA; two sisters, Dot Myers of Jennings, LA and Earline Cormier of Crowley, LA; 17 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Earls; three brothers, Gardner, Isaac, and Oran LaCombe; and her parents, Ida and Theo LaCombe.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 in the funeral home from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary and scripture service being held at 6:00 PM. Cremation will follow under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
