William M. Litton, born in Martin County, Kentucky on August 16, 1936, son of the late William and Georgia Pearl (Gillispie) Litton, passed away in a local hospital on Friday, February 2, 2024, at the age of eighty-seven.
A self-employed carpenter, William enjoyed coon hunting, frogging, fishing, antiquing and tending to his flowers and garden. He loved his grandbabies, and spending time with family and friends.
William enjoyed listening to music, especially bluegrass.
He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Willis Litton, Howard Litton, Donald Litton, Elbert Litton, Earnest Litton, Leman Litton, Earnest Gillispie, James Gillispie, Pearl Bernice Williams, Phyllis Litton, Dixie Bayes, Dolly Drake, Gracie Fairchild, Maxie Boyd, Loretta Webb, and Monroe Gillispie.
Left to cherish wonderful memories are his wife of sixty-six years, Anna Lois Litton; children, Christina Wilson (Joey), Michele Guidry (Kelly), and Anthony Litton (Angela); sister, Lillian O’Bryan (Robert) grandchildren, Courtney Paul, Brittany Wilson, Adam Litton, Dylan Guidry, Briley Draper, Baylee Wilson, Abby Guidry, Cody Litton, Matthew Litton and Morgan Litton; twelve great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held in St. Raphael Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 10 a.m. Rev. Roland Vaughn, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home of Iowa. Visitation will begin Monday in the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with a rosary at 6 p.m., and will resume Tuesday in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Pallbearers assisting in his service are Dylan Guidry, Adam Litton, Briley Draper, Baylee Wilson, Ryan Swire, and Austin Draper.
