Wilma (Willie) Misse was affectionately known as a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, coworkers, and many more whose lives were touched by her. We ask that you remember her not for the way her life ended, but for the way it was lived and for the profound impact she had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Wilma (Willie) loved life, cooking, and reading and she loved to spend time with her family. She was a member and enjoyed attending Holy Trinity Episcopal church.
Wilma (Willie) is preceded in death by her parents Floyd W. Jenkins and Velma L. Jenkins, and her husband James L. Misse
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Tami Misse, Grandson Trey and Grace Misse; cousins Charles Strother, Wayne Strother, Kenneth Strother (Cindy) and Mike Strother: brother in law Henry Misse (Ann); and many other family members.
Memorial services for Wilma (Willie) will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 11 AM at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Sulphur. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of service. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Sulphur.
The family would like to thank Harbor Hospice for the compassion and dignified care they provided during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers the family would like proceeds to go to Holy Trinity Episcopal church.
