Wilma Marie Authement Sullivan

Wilma Marie Authement Sullivan, 90, of Lake Charles passed away at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in her residence with her children, Tony and Lisa, by her side.

Mrs. Sullivan was born on January 28, 1931 in Houma, was raised in Cameron, and moved to Lake Charles in the late 1940’s.  She was a member of Grand Lake Faith Temple.  Mrs. Sullivan took pleasure in cooking and baking.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Charlotte Trahan (LeRoy) of Lake Charles, Tony Sullivan (Gloria) of Grand Lake, William Sullivan (Gabriela) of Houston, Jack Sullivan (Brenda) of Grand Lake, and Lisa Dansby (the late Tony “Big T”) of Lake Charles; sisters, Mary Lynn Constance (T) of Grand Lake, Georgia Constance of Carlyss, and Mary Louise Connor of Mauriceville, TX; twenty-three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

he was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard “Slug” Sullivan; parents, Agnolia and Jackson Authement; sisters, Thelma Griffith, Connie Connor, Barbara Leger, Jackie Jinks, and Jean; and a granddaughter, Nikki Dansby Duplechin.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at University Baptist Church.  The Rev. Andrew Martin will officiate.  Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Visitation will begin Thursday in the church from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.
