Iowa – Wilman J. Richard, 89, passed away in the comfort of his home on July 24, 2017.
Wilman was born in Church Point on March 21, 1928 to the late Archangel and Alette (Matt) Richard. He was a member of CFMA for many years. Wilman enjoyed raising his animals and loved going dancing with his late wife Belle.
He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Terry Richard and wife Mauren, Malcom Richard and wife Sonya, Bryan Richard and fiancé Sallie; sister-in-law, Tracy Thibodeaux and husband Charlie; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; dogs, Molly, CC and Skippy. Joseph is preceded in death by his wife, Isabelle “Belle” Richard; parents; sisters, Dorothy Johnice and Ezola LeJeune.
A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. Raphael Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 2 p.m. with Father Bennie Wego officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Visitation is Wednesday in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. with a rosary at 11 a.m.
