Wilson Peter Young, Jr.

Wilson Peter Young (Jr), known more commonly as just Jr Young of Iowa, Louisiana. Jr. gained his precious wings on December 6th, 2025 in Rosepine, Louisiana. Jr was born November 18th, 1958, to Wilson Young, Sr. and Betty Young also of Iowa, Louisiana

Wilson attended Iowa High School and was a lifelong resident of Iowa. He enjoyed attending church at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church of Iowa. Everyone knew Jr as the town clean freak. If someone said Jr’s name, you were bound to get a story. Everyone that knew him said you could eat off of his driveway because it was so squeaky clean. His yard was always immaculately groomed with not a blade of grass out of place. Jr was also a jack of all trades; from working in oil fields, driving 18 wheelers, and to owning his own landscape company. Jr. also built several beautiful homes around Iowa. When he wasn’t working you could find him in his yard or hanging out at local businesses around town having small talk.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his daughter Tonya Nicole Caillier (Husband Richard Caillier), and Grand Children: Luke and Tiegan Caillier all of Mooringsport, Louisiana.

Jr is proceeded in death by both parents, Wilson and Betty Young, his brother Keith Young, and sisters, Paula McGee and Cindy Young. 

In honor of his memory, the family will host a visitation at Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa on December 11, 2025, starting at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again on December 12, 2025, at 9:00 AM. A funeral service will follow on December 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM, burial will be in Lacassine Cemetery. 

His daughter would like to thank Rosepine Nursing Home and Hospice Care for all of the love, support, and care they have showed over the last couple of years.
