Yuline Theresa Malone

Yuline Theresa Olivier Malone, 92, of Vinton, LA passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in local hospital.

Mrs. Malone was born in Breaux Bridge, LA and raised in St. Martinville. She raised her children primarily in Eunice and has lived most of her life in the Vinton and Sulphur area. She loved her French heritage, music and dancing. She also loved cooking and seafood. Mrs. Malone will be most remembered for her kind, giving heart and Christmas gatherings of family and gumbo. She was of Catholic faith.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Jessie “John” Picard, Jr. of Crowley and Warren Lee Picard and wife Pollyanna of Sulphur; one daughter, Lynn Ann Rhodes and husband Cecil of Warren, TX; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Billie Katherine Hantz and husband Darryl of Sulphur and one brother, Alan Ray Olivier. She also leaves her extended family of her late husband.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jessie John Picard, Sr. and Prentice Malone; son, Michael Picard; parents, Olivier Olivier and Adophina Castille Olivier and sister, Rose Marie Hebert.

In respect of her wishes, Mrs. Malone was cremated with a family gathering to follow in St. Martinville.
