Bell City – Yvonne Lois Campbell, 77, passed away on January 22, 2017, in a local care facility.
Yvonne was born in Lake Arthur, LA on April 2, 1939 to the late Louis and Nedia Benoit Trahan. She enjoyed catering, cooking, gardening and traveling. Yvonne was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and also Lady Alter Society.
Survivors include her sons; Jerry Campbell (Deloras), Russell Campbell (Nancy), Leon Campbell (Deborah); daughter, Gail Augustine (Adrian); sister, Greta Martin (Ray Lee); 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great grandchild on the way; companion; Eddie O’Hara. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Campbell, Sr.; parents, Louis and Nedia Trahan; brothers, Curtis Roy Trahan, John William Trahan, Ray Alan Trahan, Daniel Trahan; sisters, Gertrude Trahan, Diane Trahan, Betty Abshire, Bobbie Sue Files.
A Mass of Christian burial will be in St. John Vianney Catholic Church with Father Emanuel Tanu officiating on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Hayes Cemetery. Visitation begins Monday, January 23, 2017 in Johnson & Brown Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. and will resume Tuesday from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
