Iowa – Yvonne Victorian, 69, passed away in her residence on June 22, 2015.
Yvonne Marie Victorian was born September 9, 1945 to the late Earline Lambert and Willis Redell. At an early age, she was reared by the late Emanuel Charles, Raymond & Leatrice Cretchen. She was married on January 15, 1965 to Rodney “Black” Victorian and to this union 4 children were born. Yvonne was a 1964 graduate of Washington High and attended McNeese State University. She was a very private person, but was always there for her children & siblings. Yvonne was an active member of Zion Travelers Baptist Church until her health prevented her from doing so. She worked for the Calcasieu Parish Head Start, Calcasieu School Board and Delta Downs.
She is preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother, Craig T. Charles, and Leatrice Cretchen (Auntie).
She leaves to cherish her loving memory her 4 children, Monique (David) Charlot of Santa Clara, CA, LaToshia Leonard of Iowa, Lawrence (Marcie) Victorian of Elton and Nicole Victorian of Iowa; 5 sisters, Sandra, Katherine, Carol, Zelia and Letitia; 3 brothers, Stanford, Tommy & Randy; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 brother-in-laws and 1 sister-in-law.
Funeral services are Friday, June 26, 2015 at 11 a.m. in Zion Travelers Baptist Church with Rev. Herman Weston officiating. Burial will follow in Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Visitation is Friday from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the church.
